Well, they have missed the opportunity to make more money from stock market because they chose not to lose money in stock but let their money values eroded by high cost of living, inflation and depreciation of currency exchange. Now you will learn and read a true story from my former bank's client, Mr. Loo nickname RICH Dad's success in his shares investment.
This is the phrase of a Rich Dad wishes to tell you about his sucess financial decision that changed his career life. He quoted wisely about his realized dream:"Today he is going to be exceptional. He has wasted too many of his days on this earth not maximizing his potential, nor pursuing his dreams to the fullest. He wants to desperately escape the Rat Race but far too often he has not acted as if that was truly a priority in his life. That will not be the case today. At the end of today he is going to grant himself a moment to look in the mirror and commend himself for a job well done. This day is going to be different and here are the one most importance thing he is going to do today to make it so. My dream is to become a Millionaire and escape the Rat Race now. "
Now Rich Dad Loo is a rich investor with million assets in shares, properties and a food business. The first lesson from this Rich Dad is about "Value Investing" in KLSE stock market when he purchased 1,000 units of Public Bank Bhd's (PBB) share at a nominal value in 1967, the year it was listed, would today have 200,000 unit PBB shares worth RM3.60 millions based on its latest share price of RM18.00, plus a total gross dividend of RM900,000. This translates to a remarkable compounded annual growth rate of 25% since its listing in 1967. Why this Rich Dad Loo has a strong passion and patient in stock investment ? During the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997/98, on 1 Sept 1998, my wife and I followed Rich Dad bought 20,000 shares of Public Finance at RM0.61 per share with PE ratio 2.0.
Later I sold 50% PFB shares at RM3.22 each made some profits the following years after held for almost 2 years (2000) which represented a 428% gain. The remaining 10,000 units later converted to 38,750 of PBB shares due to the merger of PFB and PBB. In year 2006, PBB was trading at RM6.40 each after consolidation from RM0.50 par value to RM1.00 and the gain was 2,028%. Today PBB share price traded at RM18.50 each will fetch at least RM925,000 based on the current holding of 50,000 shares in PBB. We sold some PBB shares to diversify our funds into other valued blue chip shares and also bought several properties investment too.
Based on the above lessons well earned from my Rich Dad Loo in shares investment strategies for long term retirement planning., we have no Fear and no Greed to avoid speculation in shares but dare to match our long term savings with long term shares investment strategy using our funds injected from EPF account 1 via EPF members investment scheme now.
